At North & Line, every ring is made to order and crafted specifically to your selected metal, stone size and ring size. As a result, our returns policy reflects the bespoke nature of our pieces.
Made-to-Order Pieces
All engagement rings and fine jewellery items are made to order.
Because of this:
• We do not accept returns for change of mind.
• We do not offer refunds on customised or made-to-order pieces.
• Production typically begins within 2–3 working days of order confirmation.
Please ensure all sizing and specifications are correct before placing your order.
If you are unsure about sizing, we strongly recommend professional sizing prior to purchase.
Resizing
Resizing eligibility depends on design and structural safety.
• Most plain solitaire styles may be resized up or down by approximately one UK size.
• Pavé bands, eternity styles and hidden halo designs have more limited resizing flexibility due to stone placement.
• Some intricate designs may not be eligible for resizing.
Resizing turnaround time is approximately 2–4 weeks from the date the ring is received back with us.
If resizing is required due to customer size selection error, customers are responsible for insured return shipping.
If resizing is required due to a confirmed manufacturing error, we will cover the cost.
Faulty or Damaged Items
We provide a 12-month manufacturing warranty covering structural defects and stone security issues not caused by impact or accidental damage.
If you believe your item has a manufacturing fault, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:
• Your order number
• Clear photos and/or video of the issue
If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will arrange repair or replacement at no cost to you.
Assessment and repair timelines may take 2–6 weeks depending on the nature of the issue.
This warranty does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear
• Accidental damage or impact
• Improper handling or care
• Alterations or repairs carried out by third parties
Stone Security
All rings undergo quality control prior to dispatch, including:
• Prong inspection
• Stone security testing
• Polish and finish inspection
• Symmetry checks
• Final cleaning
If a stone is lost due to a confirmed manufacturing issue (not impact), we will cover the cost of repair.
If preferred, you may arrange a local repair and we may reimburse reasonable costs upon prior approval.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.
After this period, production may already be underway and cancellation may not be possible.
Non-Returnable Items
We cannot accept returns on:
• Custom engraved pieces
• Bespoke commissions
• Rings altered by another jeweller
• Sale or promotional items
